As we come towards the end of Lent we pray that you:

Receive the sing of the cross on your forehead – learn to know Christ and follow him.

Receive the sign of the cross on your ears that you may hear the voice of the Lord.

Receive the sign of the cross on your eyes that you may see the glory of God.

We make this prayer through Christ, our Lord.

MORNING PRAYER (Tuesday 31 March 2020)

Dear God,

This Lent may we learn to become more generous both at work and at home.

Help us to become less selfish and open our heart to the needy and less fortunate this Easter.

We pray this through Christ our Lord.

Earnest and Loving God, you call all people to yourself.

You call us to authenticity and honesty. Draw us closer to yourself.

Allow us to deepen our faith this Lent, to grow more intimately in relationship with you, and to live as you desire. For this we pray, in the name of Jesus, who calls us to new life.

Dear God,

Help us in this time of Lent which leads us to the celebration of Easter; help us to embrace the Way of Jesus Christ and to remember why we celebrate Easter, not for the commercial reasons, but for you. Help us to understand and embrace your way of seeing the world and of seeing other people.
