We pray today that we can show love to our neighbours, and not just our friends, in all of our interactions.

As the warmth of Spring must contest with the lingering cold

of Winter, reflection on Jesus’ cross reminds us that sadness us

and sorrow are mixed together. How can I bring the warmth

of love to my family and friends? How do others bring warmth

and happiness to my life? Let us reflect that just as the seasons

follow one another, so God will follow us in life with grace and

forgiveness.

Lord Jesus,

Help us to be thankful for everything that happens to us.

Help us live each day in the present and make it a gift.

Help us to understand that,

our lives are not determined by what happens to us

but how we react to what happens,

not by what life brings to us but by the attitude we bring to life.
