    Dear God,

    Each day that goes by, something new arises.

    Most people strive to change themselves and others,

    always looking to change what they have for something better,

    never remembering exactly what they needed to change.

    We seldom stop and look back on what we have.

    Each morning I awake, the world is changing, but essentially

    remains the same.

    I see you, God, in these things and give thanks for them.

    Your love may change forms, but remains the same.

    Dear God,

    I am asking to help the poor, but who are the poor? Are they the people with little money, or are they the people without love for you? The people without much money but with love for you are the richest people in the world. The people with a lot of money but with no true love for you are the poorest people in the world. So, God, I ask you to take care of the poor people of the world, whoever they truly are.

    MORNING PRAYER (Tuesday 28th September 2021)

    Dear God,

    Many times I reflect about what it would be like to have self-confidence and not depend on others for encouragement. I think God tries to help enhance my self-esteem. Sometimes I feel like running into my room, locking the door, and hiding under a blanket. I just want to be alone with myself, not the me I pretend to be. Maybe if I do this I will believe that I am truly unique and special in my own way.
