MORNING PRAYER (Tuesday 12th April 2022)

United with Christ, in this Holy Week, we call out to God for harmony, reconciliation and healing of the world’s wounds.

We pray for Pope Francis and all Church Leaders. May they be inspired by the example of the Suffering Servant in their

mission to call Christians to a sense of service to others.

    Lord, hear us.

    Lord, hear our prayer.

We pray for Project Compassion and the work of Caritas. May our contributions help to lighten the load of communities

struggling to make their way in the world.

    Lord, hear us.

    Lord, hear our prayer.

We pray for all who are being received into our Church this Easter. May they be supported and encouraged as they live

out the Christian call to worship and service.

    Lord, hear us.

    Lord, hear our prayer.

We pray for our faith community as we journey with Jesus through his passion and death. May we all come to a deeper

understanding and acceptance of what this means to us.

    Lord, hear us.

    Lord, hear our prayer.

We pray for a renewal in Holy Week. Through works such as Project Compassion, may we walk alongside our brothers

and sisters towards the new life of Easter.

    Lord, hear us.

    Lord, hear our prayer.

God of mercy and compassion, speak to those whose needs we entrust to you today. We pray this through Jesus Christ,

    who lives and reigns forever.

    Amen.

    XÉT MÌNH TRONG TUẦN THÁNH:

The Lord says: You shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart:

    ·      Is my heart set on God so that I really love him?

    ·      Am I strong and fearless in professing my faith?

    ·      Do I pray morning and night?

    ·      Do I offer God my difficulties and worries?

    ·      Do I have reverence for God’s name?

    ·      Do I keep Sunday holy by attending Mass?

The Lord says: Love one another as I have loved you:

    ·      Have I a genuine love for my neighbour?

    ·      Do I contribute to the well-being and happiness of my family?

    ·      Do I share my possession with the less fortunate?

    ·      In my work do I do a fair day’s work?

    ·      Am I truthful?

    ·      Have I stolen from others/

    ·      Have I protected others by speaking up for them when they are innocent?

Christ our Lord says: Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect:

    ·      Is the hope for eternal life my inspiration?

    ·      Have I tried to control any vices I may have?

    ·      Do I use my God given talents well?

    ·      Have I indulged in entertainment that is contrary to my Christian values?

    ·      Have I acted against my conscience due to fear or hypocrisy?
