MORNING PRAYER (Friday 29th October 2021)
God sometimes it’s hard to do what I must do;
Sometimes I feel too tired,
Sometimes I feel too sad,
Sometimes I feel too bad,
Sometimes it’s just too much.
The other day I read the Proverbs:
“The craving of they lazy person is fatal,
for lazy hands refuse to labour.
All day long the wicked covet,
But the righteous give and do not hold back” (21:25-26).
Sometimes I get off track, God.
I think of how I will benefit from things.
But maybe, God, sometimes I should try.
I should do what I must do
because others need me to.
Sometimes.
