MORNING PRAYER (Tuesday 03^rd November 2020)

A New Beginning

Dear God,

You know how nervous I am!

My mind says,

“Don’t be ridiculous; they’re just kids”.

But my emotions say otherwise.

What if I start out all wrong,

get off on the wrong foot?

What if the children are hard to control?

What if they simply won’t listen?

What if they don’t like me?

What if, what if…

 

Be with me loving God,

to strengthen me and guide me.

Keep your hand on me as I begin anew

to proclaim your Holy Word,

to share my faith.

 

Holy spirit, my helper, inspire me.

Jesus, my Saviour, shine through me.

Keep your hand on me, dear God.

Amen.
