Dear Deacon Dinh,
Our Easter Celebration continues. Today we focus on God’s mercy. Mercy has been defined as unconditional love that is offered whether we have earned it or deserve it. It is given often when we need it the most; the time when we don’t believe we are even loveable. It burns through the doubt, guilt, and shame to restore us. We hope this Easter Season you find God’s mercy in your life.
To help, we have Reflection Guides based on the Sunday Gospels that can be used in a group or on your own. We also have Guides especially for families and children. Explore our website to see all our Easter Easter Season Resources.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, even when the apostle Thomas doubted that you had risen, you took the time to go back and show him. Your mercy healed his doubt. Open our hearts and minds to be more aware of your mercy that pours down on us like the rain. Let it wash away our doubt, fear, guilt and shame. Help us to see ourselves as you see us; someone loveable and precious in your sight.
Lord God, show us your mercy.
We are with you in our prayers this Easter Season,
Fr. Alfonso and the Maryknoll Mission Education Team
