                                              THANK YOU FOR GUIDING ME, HOLY SPIRIT

     

    MORNING PRAYER (Thursday 20th May 2021)

    Thank you, Holy Spirit, for all you do for me.

    That lesson plan, that dull, dull plan,

    ended up being one of my best lessons.

    When I went back to it, I could see right away

    that it lacked something essential.

    There was not time for personal prayer,

    For the children to encounter you.

     

    When that became my priority,

    the whole lesson took wing.

    The children responded so well.

    They welcomed the opportunity to pray quietly

    with hands and hearts outstretched,

    reaching for you.

     

    This time of prayer also opened their minds.

    They had more questions than usual,

    and more enthusiasm too.

    I never would have thought it.

    Thanks again.

    Amen.
